  • Found at the Lenawee County Historical Society Museum Archives, in a Hollinger box, file labeled, "Brennen", this is a single sheet of old paper, approximately 4 inches wide by 6 inches high, it is discolored, and the writing is of the old style. Typist makes no representation that the handwriting has been correctly interpreted, a copy should be obtained by those interested in the records.   • A new boy at Elmer Halsey's, December 24.
  • In the January 2, 1900 Adrian Newspaper one can find the following announcements:
  • "Dr. D. W. Loree, of Ridgeway, telephones to this office the birth of a son to Mr. and Mrs. Roy Harrison, of Ridgeway. The child was born Sunday night just as the midnight bells chimed in the New Year, and the Ridgeway friends assume that it was the only child born in Michigan at the birth of the New Year."
